This quirky piece was partially inspired by a desire to write Inara and Justin in a friendship piece, as well as Brian/Justin in the futuristic setting of Firefly (with some things in common with BJ in Noir, as readers will find out as it continues). As well as a desire to write a little het, a little fem slash, and a little m/m erotica. And Firefly is actually pretty tough to write, lots of lingo and setting you have to get right, so it's fun to do something that stretches me. This is the first of a tiny series I'll be doing for my double prompts. I think it might be rewarding and unusual and steamy for readers as it unfolds.

If you have never seen Firefly: Inara is a Companion, a high class bisexual courtesan who services men and women. She has left the safe Core Worlds and works off of a beat up freighter called Serenity, where she's found family.

Essentially the mini story will focus on being in love with 'an unsuitable man' Inara with Mal, Justin with Brian.
